Christy Thomas is the founder of ela.online, a platform envisioned to transform the way people learn and connect. The idea grew from a simple observation — learning is most impactful when it’s shared. Christy believes education shouldn’t be confined to courses alone, but should feel like a community journey, where learners can study, collaborate, and grow together.
With a background in computer science teaching and hands-on experience in robotics, Arduino, and STEM education, Christy has guided students through projects that blend creativity with technology. At Harvest International School, Christy leads the Atal Tinkering Lab, designing programs, hackathons, and project-based learning experiences that help students think critically and innovate fearlessly.
Beyond the classroom, Christy brings a strong entrepreneurial and digital strategy mindset. From creating websites and applications in PHP, Django, and WordPress to developing branding and marketing solutions, Christy has supported businesses in building their digital presence. Freelance work in social media marketing and campaign strategy has further shaped an understanding of how communities thrive — insights that have directly influenced the design of ela.
At the heart of Christy’s work is a balance of creativity and structure — whether building full-fledged applications, crafting robotics modules, designing ed-tech courses, or developing ela’s features, the mission remains the same:
👉 to make learning accessible, engaging, and social for everyone.
